Well NIT is one of the top colleges in India, there is nothing like that you regret to get admission there. It is one of the oldest campus, so infrastructure might need maintainance. Otherwise, placement opportunities, sports facilities, faculty and all other required facilities are available.

One more thing is that there are students of 2k rank and also students of 22k rank, which may create feeling of inferiority or superiority. But it depends on students how they want to spend their college days.
