Our college is excellent whether it be infrastructure or faculty or placement. There are many media's of exposure of our talent in our college.Of you good in drama then there is Dramatics club,if you are good in dance then there are many dance committee's like garba , Rajasthani, Marathi,Bhangra, western etc. Many fest occur in our college like AVISHKAR which is a tech fest of our college .As the name suggests it is a fest of technology like robotics etc . Another fest which occur in our college is CULRAV which is a cultural fest of our college. Many renowned artist come to entertain us like the great shayar Dr Rahat Indori ,band-THE LOCAL Train,dj MARNIK etc.And most of all there is approximately 90 % placement record of our college. In most of the branches it is 100% .If you become a part of this college then there is nothing to regret.Annual athletics meet happen in our college every year with great enthusiasm in which students showcase their sporty talent. This is a college where there is no limit of exposure, knowledge etc

Infrastructure: 1) very good for cs/it (you can get free computer most of the time.) 2)I heard from my friends that Infrastructure for mech, civil, biotech is also greate 3)campus looks small in terms of size. industry exposure: 1)Not much exposure is provided for mech, civil, biotech, chem branches. Only top 10 students get the opportunity to work internship at IITs. 2)Lot of opportunities are available for cs/it students. Placements: 1)placements are excellent here for cs/it (You need not worry too much if your branch is one of them) 2)As for other branches 30-60% students get placed based on their abilities Hostels: 1)first years get 3 per room (big rooms) 2) second years get 4 per room (big rooms) or 2 per rooms(relatively small) 3) third years get 2 per room 4) final years get 1 per room Hostel maintenance is good, clean, hygienic. Staff: 1)Some of the teachers are very good like they are born to teach the subject but others (old prof) are dumb. In every institution, this type of problem is there. So we need to get along with this. Students: Every college main asset is their students. This college got full potential in terms of students will power, creativity, hard work. Every student tries to build their career in which he has passion. ratio of students to max capacity is always equal to or greater than one. (That means no vacancies) Note: Every college provides some basic facilities but it is up to student who uses them to good cause. Like sir Abdul kalam said: A good student can learn more from a poor teacher than a poor student from good teacher

Well, it depends entirely on you. You can make the most of your time at MNNIT. But if you are uninterested, like most of the students there, your life at the college is bound to be boring. It applies for all the colleges actually. They do offer a lot, but you must make the most of the opportunities. Coming back to MNNIT. There are fests(one of the most exciting features of the college) plays, competetions. You name it.We have it. And you can organise any event of your choice if it isn't already included in the extra curricular activities.

MNNIT ALLAHABAD , my degree college

MNNIT ALLAHABAD is among one of the best NITs in INDIA. The CS engineering in India emerged from this college only and has remarkable placements in the same recorded upto the date . The college has many other departments for engineering under B.Tech also which have witnessed good placements . Though the infrastructure of the college and the aesthetic beauty lacks . Last but not the least students make a good fortune here and do great in their life............That's not what I am saying , that is something what reality says .

The college is too beautiful with lot of new buildings coming up.the college has a good connection with leading corporate companies resulting into increased intern/placement each year.the professors are too interactive and helpful.there are lot of club with helps in enhancing your skill. Seniors are very polite and guide you at each difficult time.common session are help with the delegate member from the leading companies mainly from fainance , management and civil services sector. These sessions are helpful in choosing your carrier ahead.college fee is also reasonable and much lower than other engineering colleges. Only problem in the college is of mess, they provide worst food without any taste. But we have got canteens which are too good and cheap too.

Life at MNNIT : Moments to cherish

Batch of 2018 | B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
DAILY ROUTINE: Normal day in the life of an mnnitian starts at 8 in the morning(sometimes 9) and continues till 12noon. Most of the batches have a 2 hour break from 12pm to 2pm and after that classes continue till 5pm in the evening.(Don\'t worry there will not be any study hours like in private colleges). The only problem is that attendance have to be maintained atleast above 75%(though there will be some relaxations).Quality of food in college mess will be very poor and non-vegetarians has to suffer a lot as campus is purely veg. There will be an average of 28 to 32 classes per week. Lan service will be provided to all the students in the college to every room.Rooms are somewhat congested with the exception of 1st year rooms. The campus is strictly against ragging. EXAMS: There will be 2 exams per semester. One is mid-semester which is of 20 marks and other is end-semester which is of 60 marks.Other 20 marks will be awarded by respective professors.Grading system is absolute.Assignments will be given by some lecturers mainly in labs.In some labs like system calls and networking there will be weekly assignments that has to be submitted. Quality and method of teaching: Quality of teaching in computer science branch is not up to the mark. All the professors were somewhat old and seems to be uninterested in teaching.Teaching will be a huge disappointment. Medium of communication will be English but students from south India has to suffer when it comes to dealing with regular activities.Mostly the teaching is traditional and through powerpoint presentations. Overall experience: Placements in the college is very good.We can get our doubts clarified from our seniors who are always helpful.Although the teaching is not good, there will be committees for every branch run by seniors and they conduct classes to clarify doubts every week.It will be a great learning experience.

When I came to college I was bit confused how will I do excel further .But slowly and steadily I learnt . Learning process wasn't difficult at all with awesome faculty that we have here.Faculty is helpful in nature. In every ups and downs they would always been there for me .If we talk about infrastructure of my college is good and have enough space for a student. Greenery Is attractive part of my college. Hostels are old but still in good condition. As far as hostel life is concern here you can have best experience of your college life . Student who would come here are India's best minds. Hence we have quite a good experience. Now talking about placements which is very good in my college.I will conclude by saying that if you have ever got an opportunity to get in to this college never miss it.

Awesome place to start your carrier

Batch of 2017 | B.Tech Chemical Engineering
First of all placements, the ultimate goal WILL be fulfilled. Internet is awesome. Infrastructure and air is good. You get a pretty cool interaction with students from all around the world ! Yes, Their is a provision of DASA [Direct Admission to students Abroad] and International Student exchange program that provide international exposure. I am a chemical engineering final year student. I got placed during campus placements at Maruti Suzuki India Limited which is a pretty cool place to start a carrier in, with a handsome package. I don’t usually like to quantify education by facts and figures; I’m a firm believer in the fact that you get out of college what you put into it. The same is true of any situation, but college is probably one of the first huge milestones in life where it’s definitely the case. And it’s about more than book learning (although obviously you’re there to learn) — it’s about getting out on your own for the first time, exploring new things, meeting new people, and learning everything from how to conduct research properly to how to deal with difficult and/or awesome situations. Not only do you get to experience living in a different environment — for me, it was moving from the suburbs to the city — but even better, you won’t be running into people you’ve known your entire life every time you turn the corner. This also means there’s plenty of opportunities for overall growth. Library of MNNIT is the largest user of online books in India among all National Institute of Technologies. Last but not the least, for interested students there is CIR [CENTER FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH] where you can showcase your talent.

MNNIT Allahabad A place worth choosing.

Batch of 2017 | B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
I joined MNNIT Allahabad in 2013 right after my board examinations in computer science and engineering program. I will simply write the pros and cons of the college which I've till now observed. Pros- 1. The college has great number of co- curricular activities going on around the year. Be it Avishkar, the techno-management fest, Culrav, the cultural fest or its own Entrepreneurial Summit - Rennaisance. Everything is amazing and happens on a grand level. Believe me I've seen that. 2. The seniors are awesome. Take my word for it- you will learn everything through your seniors . They help their juniors in every way. 3. There is no form of ragging in any form. And there has been none in the past 8 years or so. This is something to be proud of. 4. The college is soon going to have its own incubator. 5. MNNIT has a computer club run by seniors of final years, covering various topics such as- Android development, MEAN framework, C programming, Algorithms and Data Structures, etc. 6. There are some of the best coders in college. 7. You will get awesome peer network here. I have a friend who got internship in first year itself and that too from 3 companies. 8. Infrastructure is decent given the college is almost 60 years old. 9. Internet is awesome at college. The computer center is very well maintained and from second year you get lan ports at hostel rooms. 10. Library is one thing to be proud of MNNIT. You will get a huge number of books here both in hard or soft copy and it has one of the biggest stack of books in India. Cons- 1. Faculty and academics is not as good as you will expect it to be. Well, many of the professors are good having strong backgrounds in their respective fields, but some of them are like," My school teacher teaches better than this". Having said that you have to learn everything from your own. Don't rely on the faculty if coming here. 2. First-year hostel is excellent as it is newly built but the rest of them are not as good. 3. Mess Food. I don't have to say further, the story of every college. And it is fully vegetarian. So BEWARE. So overall, I would say that MNNIT is worth choosing for and you probably would think that I've not written about placements in this article. Well, there's more to a college than placements. It doesn't matter until you have that spirit and dedication to make something out of your life.

MNNIT : explore your world of technical knowledge

Batch of 2017 | B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
The most fascinating and attracting thing which I felt about my college is the dedicated , helping , supporting and guiding seniors . Any help related to studies, career guidance, moral support, and encouragement are provided by the seniors. Teachers also organize various kind of programs like arranging video conferencing with industry people so that we can have the knowledge of the industry. Several kinds of workshops are held on a regular basis to make us aware of recent trends and technologies in science. We also have the chance to involve in NCC or NSS ( one of which is compulsory ) .MNNIT offers 19 post-graduate programs of two-year duration leading to M.Tech. degrees. Avishkar, Gnosiomania, Robofest. These are some of the festivals where you get to explore your creative side and escape the rigors of day to day classroom lectures. As far as infrastructure and facilities are concerned, it is at par with most of the IIT's. You get a 224 acres lush-green campus on the shore of river Ganges with scenic beauty at its best. LABORATORIES The Design Center , established under the INDO-UK REC project, conducts R & D, and consultancy activities in the area of CAD /CAM, PCB Design, Image Processing and Vision Systems, Robotics, Air Pollution Control & Structural Testing etc. The center is equipped with 24 no. of Pentium PC/AT’s networked together with 2 servers. Besides these, there is other high precision equipment. HOSTELS & FOOD: There are seven Boys and two Girls hostels at present in the Institute. The capacity of boys hostel is 1800 (1044 single seated rooms and 252 triple seated rooms ) and that of girls hostel is 145. Room allotment is done in such a way that students from different parts of country freely intermingle with each other depicting national integration. Hostel messes are run no profit no loss basis. The messes are managed by nominated representatives of students under the overall supervisions of wardens. The foreign students run their separate mess named as international mess. The newly admitted students are kept in separate hostels away from senior students to avoid ragging. DEPARTMENTS The departments in the institute are: 1.Engineering 2.Biotechnology 3.Applied Mechanics 4.Chemical Engineering 5.Computer Science and Engineering: Also known as CSED (Hindi Translated: 'Sanganak Vigyan aivam Abhiyantriki Vibhaag'), this department hosts the classes for almost all students associated with the IT sector. Be it CSE, IT or MCA. Numerous important subjects such as C/C++ (to name a few) are taught here with a full-fledged facility. 6.Civil Engineering 7.Electrical Engineering 8.Electronics and Communication Engineering 9.Information Technology 10.Industrial & Production Engineering 11.Mechanical Engineering 12.Product Design & Development SCIENCE 1.Chemistry 2.Mathematics 3.Physics Humanities and Social Science. School of Management Studies. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Placements in the college is very good.We can get our doubts clarified from our seniors who are always helpful.Although the teaching is not good, there will be committees for every branch run by seniors and they conduct classes to clarify doubts every week.It will be a great learning experience. The college has the maximum student intake from foreign nations which means you get to coalesce with different cultures and backgrounds that for sure will make your Four years, the most glorious period of your life.

MNNIT allahabad has got a big name as a NIT but truely speaking it is not that good. Infrastructure is good, placements are also good but faculty is really poor. Except hostel for first year boys none of the hostel got a good building.campus is beautiful and large (about 220 acres).you can have a great view of sangam ,akbar qila and Azad park but other than this no more places to visit.Collage has few canteens but Food and restaurants of Allahabad are just so so.Only help u will get from seniors.Inspite of this collage organises a various cultural and technical events. College provides lot of opportunities for students and good thing is that new comers are motivated to organise the events. So if u do not get an IIT or NITs of south than you should be here.

My college life is unique in its own way. At our hostel we enjoy a lot, play games, party and of course study. Friends that I made in hostel never let me feel alone. Doing everything together makes your life a bliss! Faculty is also good. Some teachers are strict but all are very good. Talking about infrastructure it is quite satisfying. Since college is 60 years old so it is not that extravagant but is compatible. Placements are pretty decent. Placement percentage is also high and almost everyone geta placed with decent package. Other extra activities are also frequent. We have annual tech fest called Avishkar and a cultural one called Culrav. Both of them are awesome. Moreover one gets national and international exposure here by knowing students from various part pf India and also outside it.

MNNIT has good infrastructural benefits with well maintained laboratory so that students gain practical knowledge. Faculties are very good and helpful. Placement cell is very active hence the students here get well placed. College life is very enjoyable here at MNNIT where you are guided and guarded yet independent. Seniors are very friendly and helpful. Hostels are good. This college indeed aims at all round development of students by giving a lot of exposure in all fields. Here we are not only groomed academically but did gain confidence and even our personalities got polished.

The infrastructure of the academic and administrative building is a candy to the eye and moving around that area is just an awesome experience. Then comes the hostel life:the hostel of first year (boys) is the latest building constructed in this college and is a very spacious one.The rooms are big ,three persons per room,a balcony,a study room, three separate Almirahs, well ventilated and what not. Altogether it is not like any traditional hostel(messed up).The bad part about first year boy's hostel is internet connectivity.wifi signals are not received at your room and that's a problem in winters because you need to leave the warmth of your room and sit in a room down (called MP room) to access internet via free Wi-Fi and speed is also not appreciable till 11pm,after that it goes upto 3-5mbps. What to say about placement,I am no one to talk about that right now Faculty is good but not applicable for chemistry department. It is just intolerable. In chemistry class one cannot properly understand a word that a 65 year old person tries to utter with his full power The food of mess is like any other mess(bad). But altogether NITA(what I call it) is like a home far away from home with helping seniors if you approach them.It is a fun engineering experience here

According to me on reviewing my college, I firstly say that only first-year hostel is good but not very good because there is only wifi in the first-year hostel but not LAN, and in rest hostel, i.e second and third-year hostel rooms are very congested you cannot study on table and chair within your room.

In college like MNNIT,we are not friends rather we are a family with great thinkers one can really learn and develop. College boasts of a computer center with all latest specification and most important is the LAN with 54mbps speed and DC++ collectively makes it awesome to be there. Faculty members are all well qualified and they have in-depth knowledge of their respective courses which are taught with great enthusiasm. Finally, Placements are around 97 to 98% ,the college recognised well and very good companies visit every year and we are always ahead of our past placement records.

Posted on 31 Aug' 16 by Bhawana Mishra
Batch of 2016 | B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
MNNIT is one of the top engineering colleges in India. It is a platform to reach the new height in their respective career goals.Best NIT in many aspects. Top placements for CSE/IT, giving strong competition to the IIT's. Undoubtedly the best NIT to combat IITs in placements statistics .. excellent infrastructure .. cafes .. canteens .. classrooms .. fests . My peers were sharp and self-motivated. Most of them are doing great presently. The competition with them kept me on my toes. Some teachers of our department were pretty strict and others were academically extremely sound, this combination forced us to be very sincere for studies. Hostel life is just awesome. Amazing parties on the weekends and endless talk sessions. The tough times, lack of amenities & even comforts makes you strong mentally. This helps you appreciate the good in life later on.

The professors are good. It is a bit down on expectations if you think you'll see the professional behaviour. The crowd is diverse, knowledgeable but a tad unprofessional. The placement can be better. And industry experience can be improved. Infrastructure is very good especially free and strong wifi accessibility around the campus ,fully maintained computer labs to facilitate easy learning for students , well-maintained library with great books of all kind. It teaches you a great deal about life. A few teachers here are exceptionally amazing, they know it well what they are talking about. But as we know that the crowd makes the college, so it's a downer on that.

Only a few teachers are good but the placements are worthful. Also, the fee is very less so really affordable college which can be refunded in case you qualifies for the scholarship.all in all a good college especially for tech as batch students manage everything. Among Kurukshetra , Bhopal, and Allahabad, it is the best.

An institute of national importance and really affordable. Placements are fine.Infrastructure suffices the students needs. Several fests and other extracurricular activities take place round the year. The faculty is supportive. Several guest lecturers visit the campus. The soft skills are enhanced well enough. Overall a good institute .
