If you do pursue a Masters in Physics, you could apply for a lot of well paying data science jobs in the finance and banking sector. The average starting salary for freshers is usually more than 10 lacs per annum. A one year Mtech or diploma course in financial mathematics can surely help.

Further if you acquire good software and coding skills you can attend the campus placement as any of your other B.Tech batch mates.

NITs are reputed institute. They have an esteemed lineage of alumni and provide great facilities for education and research. Integrated course in Physics or Chemistry are good but only if you are genuinely interested in the subjects and want to build a career in them. These are both theoretical subjects, so the prospect of career is mainly in the field of academia. Pursuing a PhD in the same might help you further. You can also built a solid career in research.
