When you cancel the admission, you're no longer into that specific college. Based on my experience about the refund process of the Delhi University, the refund process is a bit time taking process.

After the cancellation of admission in Delhi University, you can expect the generation of refund into your bank account within the 2 months.

The time duration can vary, some students receive the refund early also. If it takes more time than 1.5 months, you should contact the office of the specific college from where the refund has to be generated.

If you once cancel your admission in DU colleges, then after the completion of the admission round completed by the institute, your admission will be taken back and you won't be allowed anymore so as to have a seat. Anyways, you can get your money back if you want to cancel your admission. For that, you have to withdraw your admission and pay some money so as to cancel your admission. Take out the withdraw form from the website and give it to college along with the payment slip and the officials will take the withdrawal form into consideration and will cancel your admission. As soon the completion of admission by the college is done, your money will be refunded.
