Hello,

That would be a problem, according to the criteria you should have passed all the subjects with the following scores.

To fulfill the NEET eligibility criteria , candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English. The candidates belonging to General Category should score a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12 .
Candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes (OBC) should score a minimum of 40% in their Class 12.

One should have a clear pass in 5 subjects in class 12th board including physics, chemistry, biology to be eligible.

Hope it helps.

However, you will have to ensure that you clear the exam in which you have failed before the first counselling round.

The rules of qualifying examination states that a candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e., Class 12, and whose result is awaited, may apply and take up NEET but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of counselling.

Hope it helps.

Hello Kiran

It is a very valid question and comes in mind of everyone who gave entrance examinations. But you should not worry about this.

As per CBSE, a student need to pass in 5 subjects, including the three major subjects (eg PCM/PCB) and English. If a person has taken another subject (eg phycology, geography, maths etc) as a 6th (optional) subject and fails in it , he/she will still pass 12th boards.

As the percentage calculated does not include the 6th subject. You can apply anywhere you want a long as you don't fail in your 3 major and one language subject.

It also applies in the case when you fail in the 5th subject but pass in 6th subject. You will still be considered pass
