After every round of allotment the candidate receives an option of freezing the seats alloted to him/ her, this means that the candidate does not require upgradation in the subsequent rounds of counselling. If the candidate does not freeze the alloted seat, he/she will be alloted the next higher preference automatically in the next round subject to availability of seats, and the candidate will not be allowed to retain the earlier allotment under any circumstances.
