What is GATE and for what we have to give this and when.

Hello Ayush,

Graduate Aptitute Test in Engineering (GATE) is a National Level Postgraduate Exam. It is conducted jointly by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven IITs. This exam is a qualifying test for admissions to Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture and Science programmes offered across IITs, NITs and other leading centrally funded institute. 

Mode of examination is Online

Objective type questions are asked in the exam.

The examination is held Once in a year. The application form of GATE is available online from September and exam is conducted in the month of February.
