As gate entrance examination to get good seat in the good colleges or universities for the Mtech in national level and the cutoff marks will be based on category and resevations and based on no.of candidates appeared for the exam, no.of seats available for the candidates, difficulty level of the question paper, previous year cutoff and the cutoff Marks  of electronic and communication department previous year is for Gen-647  ,OBC-607  ,ST-286,SC-452 these are cutoff marks according to the category so work hard and study well to get seat in the good colleges or universities and i think my suggestions and knowledge may be helpful to u.

I think you are mistaken there is no IIT in Rourkela but NIT Rourkela and the gate cutoff for previous year of NIT Rourkela for ECE was 732 and closed at 657 score for open category.
