The boundary line between India and Pakistan is called the Radcliffe Line. It was established on August 17, 1947, following the partition of British India, and is named after Sir Cyril Radcliffe, who was responsible for demarcating the borders.
The Radcliffe Line separates India from Pakistan on its western side and India from Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan) on its eastern side.
