Comprehensive Guide: IIT's | NIT's | IIIT's
Hi Sanjeet Kumar!
JEE Main is a national-level exam for Btech admissions in NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, based on fundamental concepts from the CBSE syllabus. It is conducted as a computer-based test. JEE Advanced is for admission to IITs and other top institutes, focusing on deeper concepts, analytical thinking, and problem-solving. Admission is through JoSAA counselling after qualifying JEE Main.
The process of getting admission into a government engineering college normally begins with the completion of the application form, either online or directly at the college. After the form is received, the applicants are issued with their admit card and they take their entrance test. Some counselling is conducted to assign seats after the results are announced. One must also be careful to check whether the college uses a state level or a national level entrance exam before applying. Lastly, the selected students go through the document verification and formal admission process in order to confirm their seat.
