National Institute of Technology Puducherry is one of 31 NITs, located in Karaikal. The institute was sanctioned in 2009 by the Government of India. It offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MSc. and PhD courses. Admission to B.Tech courses is granted through Joint Entrance Examination Mains (JEE Mains); however, for M.Tech course admission, marks obtained in GATE are considered.
