NEET is the entrance exam for admission to MBBS across India including medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Jammu and Kashmir as an United State didn't contribute 15% of its MBBS seats to the central pool for All India Counselling. All the seats were filled up through State Counselling and so neither Jammu and Kashmir students could participate in All India Counselling and nor could Other State Candidates study in Jammu and Kashmir. Now that Jammu and Kashmir has been divided into Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, even Ladakh doesn't contribute its seats to the central pool. So if any candidate belonging to either Jammu and Kashmir or Ladakh want to participate in All India Counselling, they have to give a self declaration form.
