Even a student from tier 2 or 3 college will have a top salary of 15L per annum. An IIT graduate as a fresher can have an average salary of 25L per annum. Its not that he is an IITian but it depends on the company and the designation.

The Average Salary this year is Rs 11.32 lakh. B.Tech Students obtained a slightly higher salary than the Dual Degree and M. Tech Students.
