The state quota reservation is same for all the 30 NITs.

The name home state quota is self-explanatory. There's 50% reservation for the home state students, where the NIT is situated, irrespective of your board. The state, you belong to or a resident of, doesn't come into picture.

For example, I'm from Odisha. But if I take my boards in Tamilnadu, I'll be eligible to join NITT and not NIT, Rourkela, under home state quota.
