College Infrastructure
Our college have all the necessary infrastructure and equipment infact there are more than the things we require. Our college is one of kind. It have smart classrooms, laboratories are also well equipped. Sports centers are also available. Overall no missing link is there.
Academics
I am studying B.Arch from Nit, quality of teaching is great, teachers are very good at what they do and are also well qualified. Yes the curriculum i also updated and includes various recent developments but not all as per my knowledge is concerned.
Placements
Placements are quite average in our field, but still their are students who are also very good t what they study and get decent amount of package from the campus, Highest package offered in my knowledge is 12 lacs per year. And of all the students who got placed average package would be 5 lacs.
Value-for-money
As our institute is government institute and fees is also accordingly low and regarding the worth of money, it is for sure worth because the returns and the opportunities we have at our college are great. SO i for sure think that the money is worth.
Campus Life
Campus life is awesome, as it is a huge campus, and lot of it is green, which in itself creates a very good atmosphere around the students, teachers and support staff is very helpful as most of them are well educated but you know exceptions are everywhere.

College Infrastructure
Yes, college have all the necessary infrastructure such as well equipped laboratories, a big auditorium and many other facilities for every department. Classrooms are big enough and spacious to conduct any program. Sports center is also big enough to play any sport and their separate courts for badminton, basketball etc. Infrastructure is fantastic.
Academics
Academics is also great as teachers are very professional in their work and teaches students with great enthusiasm. They provide very great knowledge and discusses latest technologies with the students providing them with the knowledge.
Placements
Quality of placements is also good as our institute is one of the most reputed college in the complete state, so all the reputed companies arrives at our campus for placement. About 70-80% of students are placed with an average package around 5lacs per year.
Value-for-money
As our institute is government institute so most of the capital is allotted by the government and the fees is quite low as compare to the facilities we get in the college. So, overall i would say its worth the money we pay.
Campus Life
Campus life is awesome, I personally enjoyed a lot as our campus is very big and green. There's greenery everywhere and also the campus is clean and well maintained. Teachers and the staff are very supportive and yes i think our college campus can handle emergencies.

College Infrastructure
NITH provides excellent infrastructure among NITS. It has well maintained class rooms. libraries and hostel facilities are good but laboratories are not so advanced. Twenty four hours wifi facilities are available.
Academics
I am student of ECE department. Quality of education is good in my college. Teachers are really good, cooperative and friendly except few of them. Some teachers are very strict. They don't allow to attend their classes in payjamas.
Placements
Overall placement is not good here, reason behind this is remote location. Due to remote location less number of companies visiting for placement. Although placement of CSE and ECE department is good.
Value-for-money
As it is a national level college, course cost is very less.
Campus Life
College campus is beautiful and spacious surrounded by hills. There are many clubs and societies where students can explore themselves. It is situated in a small town of Himachal Pradesh.

College Infrastructure
I love my college infrastructure. It has well equipped classroom with A.C and Wi-Fi facility. It is situated between hills. Separate blocks are available for different departments. Also, Hostel facility is available in the campus.
Academics
Quality of teaching is excellent. Syllabus is revised every year in this college. Also, curriculum is updated and it includes all the recent developments in the field. Professors are knowledgeable and experienced.
Placements
Quality of placement is very good. College faculties help us in getting jobs. Also, placement process is quite easy. Highest package always goes to CSE branch. The average salary of ECE students is good.
Anything Else
I like this campus and if anyone got a chance to join this, don't miss that opportunity.

College Infrastructure
It's a beautiful campus in hills and construction is an important part of it to facilitate the increasing amount of students there. Well designed barrier free building in a hilly terrain with harmony.
Academics
Teachers have sound knowledge of what they are teaching and practical awareness is imparted whenever necessary. Awareness and command of the teachers are efficient. Even though the syllabus turns out to be a litlle outdated sometimes, the teachers keep you well aware of the contemporary ideas.
Placements
Placement in our field of architecture is rare and packages are generally almost okay. Though B. Tech students get some generous packages with a good percentage of placements. L&T, Infosys, WIPRO, Godrej are some of the companies to be named who hire from the institute.
Value-for-money
Good institute with average money demand. Though the fee got raised now. When we were studying, ₹26,500 was academic fee for a sem along with ₹18,000 - 21,000 hostel fee. Hostel fee for girls was about 70% of boys'.
Campus Life
Great infrastructure. Beautiful views. Maintained well. Trees everywhere. Amazing people. Amazing friends you get here. It's heavenly to live here.
Anything Else
I miss my college days.

College Infrastructure
College all the basic infrastructure. There are hostels for both boys and girls , lecture halls for classes. Separate blocks for different streams . Computer centre, academic block . The college campus hai temple centre, cafes and sports complex. They have recently added swimming facility and indoor games are available at all hostels.
Academics
Architecture course is thorough. Various subjects per semester. The faculty is great and very helpful (majority of them are). The curriculum touches all the major components, but obviously requires self input.
Placements
There are not many companies for architecture, Just 2 or 3, like L&T and Godrej. So this is a big disadvantage, but you can always go for off campus with companies like gensler and atkins or at good private firms.
Value-for-money
Not very expensive but not a lot of exposure
Campus Life
Good for making memories
Anything Else
Good college but you will need to put in extra effort

It's one of the most beautiful colleges. I was amazed by its natural beauty the moment I entered it. The hostel are cheap ,and the location is peaceful. There are no distractions such as big malls or tourist place nearby. Students are cooperative and friendly. Many workshops are held for increasing the knowledge base of students . There are many clubs and societies and faculty is quite friendly too Personally I don't like hostel food sometimes and the regulations and rules they make us follow for first three months but apart from that it's awesome

Amidst lush green hills, there is situated an institute of Technology NIT Hamirpur which is ranked 2 in case of best infrastructure. August was the month when I entered this college with zeal ,with passion to study new things , with enthusiasm to make new friends , with energy to live college life. But after some time this happinness started fading away with low quality of mess food and less exposure to outer world( the world full of new technologies). Since every coin has two sides similarly with this fading away situation , the golden side of this life was making best friends , learning new things about computer languages and attending the college fest. Well moreover the clubs and societies here are good but they need a little more maintenance in their work and a good network of communication. The faculty here is good , knows how to handle class but some professors don't know how to deliver their lectures although they have deep knowledge. Moreover the hostel life is good except the fact that food is not that much good. The wonderful thing about college is the LITERACY MISSION they are running , the student's will to help poor children is appreciable. In the nut shell, a little more focus on teaching methods, giving proper food in hostels, and by some more steps this college can be improved a lot.

The college campus is damn beautiful and to be living in this campus be like living in heaven. I've met great minds here and people are friendly, the faculty is however not so likeable. Hostel also not good as there is quite water problems and no good internet facility throughout the hostel. Even the campus is not fully wifi enabled that really disliked me. Infrastructure is awesome and construction work still goes and life is good with ups and down here

When I saw my college for the first , I was amazed by it. It's like a different place in district hamirpur , when you enter inside it it feels like you have gone to somewhere else thats is you are not in hamirpur anymore. I wasn't afraid of ragging as anti ragging commitee is too strict here. Seniors are supportive and they have helped me increasing my knowledge. Suggested me many things. Faculty is good. And as I said above the campus is beautiful. There can be shortage of water sometimes in hostel and for first year students there are some rules like 1st year students cannot stay out of hostel after 5 pm in first semester.Apart from that it's all good. And also there are no dominoes, kfc nearby.

1. Best infrastructure is provided in all IIT's and NIT's, And NIT Hamirpur is among toppers in these colleges. 2. The best 4 years of life will be spent here. You have all the time in the world to pursue whatever you want to do. 3. Faculties are good enough. Most of the studies can be done through class notes only. 4. Beautiful campus. You just can't get enough of it. The college is situated on hilltops near Hamirpur. watching the sunrise is worth night outs, Which you will have plenty of anyway. 5. Placements are good enough for studious kind. Most of you are going to opt for higher studies anyway.

The quality of education at NIT Hamirpur is extremely good. Also, the faculty is very friendly in solving doubts which helps students a lot. There is a huge location advantage as it is situated in Himachal Pradesh. The placements at NIT Hamirpur is very good with companies from a wide variety of sectors. I will definitely recommend this college to the engineering aspirants in the country for a quality learning.

Quality education provided by the best professors in the country, a campus that epitomizes beauty and the cover of nature to die for. These are the few USP's of NIT Hamirpur. A college that has established itself as a temple of technical expertise and is on it's way to explore further horizons of success. Being funded by the center government and being an institute of national expertise brings with it a bunch load of funds and money. The infrastructure at NIT Hamirpur is comparable to the IITs and even surpasses that of the new ones. Fully stocked labs, well equipped sports facilities like gyms, grounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, badminton courts, volleyball courts, billiards table, TT tables, carrom boards, chess boards and the list goes on and on. Industry exposure is a particular field in which NIT Hamirpur lags behind it's conterparts. Himachal is not an industry extensive state and the few projects that are present are at a considerable distance from the college. But the college does try to make up for this by arranging guest lectures by the industry leaders and providing summer internships to the students. Placements are never a problem when you are studying at an NIT. Although the decision of the PSUs to stop campus recruitment has affected the placements, especially for the core branches, NIT Hamirpur continues to impress by it's placements in computer sciences and electronics. Some of the best in the business come down to a remote location like Hamirpur to recruit the sharpest and the brightest minds of the country. A placement cell in Chandigarh or Delhi might be a solution to this problem. The faculty at the college is simply spectacular since I had the good fortune to be their student for 4 years. Dr. YR Sood, a professor of electrical engineering is a world renowned professor and has received special accolades both at home and overseas. Many of the professors regularly attend workshops and give lectures overseas and due to this the faculty at the college is considered to be among the best across all NITs. Coming back to the college life now, I would like to say that the hostels are nice and well equipped. The hostel life is something that you will always cherish. There are presently 8 boys and 2 girls hostel at the campus, located in thick cover of trees, making them a thing of beauty rather than mere hostels. The food at the mess has a Himachali touch and the facilities are top class. Gyms, recreational facilities, common rooms, TVs and billiards table are something that is common in all the hostels. The students were a mix of state students and other students, like in every NIT. Also like every top institute in this country, the students were intelligent, sharp and with an aptitude for engineering. This college has given 26 batches of alumni that have made it proud and will continue to deliver many more in the coming years. Affordability has become one of the deciding factors with people due to the insane cost of education in India. Even after the normalization of fees across NITs, they still remain one of the cheapest institutes in the country.Combine this factor with the fact that over 50 scholarship schemes are available for the students, makes the college a mouth watering deal for every pocket. What made your college life so memorable? A truly tough question that brought back hordes of memories from those days and put a smile across my face. Was it sitting in the cold wind on the terrace and just staring into the Himalayas? Was it enjoying and partying with my friends during the fest, Hill'ffar? Or was it attending the lectures and interacting with the well learned faculty? Or probably exploring Himachal Pradesh, trekking in the snow and having a great time? It is hard to pick just one. The combination of all these made those 4 years seem like a trip to heaven and back. NIT- an institute of national importance, but for me, it would forever be an institute of emotional importance.

NITH with the beautiful Himalayas Mountains on the backdrop has one of most beautiful and well-structured infrastructure. The institute has a separate building for all the various departments. The campus has an excellent library as well, with books available whenever required by students with wifi facility available in the campus. What the institute lack is the availability of internet facilities for the Post Graduate students and PhD students residing in the hostels of the institute. As far as Industry exposure is a concern, in the years that has gone by, the institute has a good record in exposure with many projects being offered to the students. The placements scenario is NITH is excellent as far as for Under Graduate is a concern, but for the Post Graduates it's really low or Nil. The college hostels are one of the best except for the food. The quality of the food should be improved. Students are full of praise for all the professors, most of whom are PhDs from respectable institutes. Both, senior as well as junior professors are said to be very approachable, and quite friendly as well. The crowd here is decent. The pleasantness is conducive to learning as well mingling.

Since the college is newly built it has a wonderful infrastructure, the lecture halls are better than even some IITs, Hostels are equipped with latest facilities and have good maintenance. There was no issue of a power cut or anything. Since the college is in Hamirpur the weather is always awesome. The faculty is not that good since the college has week alumni base the placements are not that good. The college should increase interaction with industries to help placement and its growth. The environment in the college is young and accompanied by the beautiful weather, people are always happy. Since the students have started participating in various competition the institute is getting noticed, the college should encourage this. College professors are relatively young and have zero to very less interaction with industry. Students from all over India are present there so it is a good mix and learning experience. The Tuition Fee is less and the amount of facilities given in terms of hostels and another infrastructure compared to the fee charged is very good. The placements are decent so the ROI is also good.

The campus life is awesome. Infrastructure is also very good. facilities like the high-speed internet are available for the students. a health center is also there for students. a well-equipped sports complex is the most looked after thing in a college, and NIT-H has. overall it is a nice college, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

The college is NIT, Hamirpur. Being in the lap of nature, the location os the college is just marvellous. The campus is just as beautiful and mesmerizing. My college is ranked as the best college in terms of the infrastructure. I have spent one and half years in this place and according to my experience, i have quite enjoyed my college life. Going out with friends, doing group study, making projects all have been a fun experience. We have a cultural fest, technical fest and sports events, all of which are a part of our college life. Though we are ranked 11 among all the NITs but what I have felt here is that faculty over here is not that good. All of them focus on the theoretical knowledge rather than the practical knowledge because that is what the industries after all. What people lack over here is the exposure, sometimes I feel that people here know nothing apart from cramming for their examinations. There is no competition among students so nine of us really does that well. The placements here are thus not so good because of the lack of practical knowledge. The average package from my college is 4 lakhs per annum( which definitely is not good!). Apart from studies, the sports are good. students take part in various sports activities actively and attend many interuniversity competitions where we definitely grab some positions. So in my view, this is an average college!

CS students at NIT-H are probably hated the most by everybody else in the college. There are a few reasons. One, everybody thinks that we have the freest time. Which is true. I've seen EEE people work the hardest, yet, have had very few placements. Similar is the case with Mech and Civil. ECE again is decent enough, but since I don't know much about it, I shall not make any comments about it. Two, everybody thinks that the prettiest girls land up in CS. Which again is true. I've seen Mech people cursing us just for that. Three, CS Dept usually has the best placement record. Which again is true.

Infrastructure is good, placements are good, the overall environment of the college is nice. Seniors are very helpful and give us direction and motivation. Many co-academic technical workshops are held. The campus is clean and the air is not polluted. On the whole, best of my college life

NIT Hamirpur is the 2nd most beautiful college of India & Best government engineering college-2014 (awarded by ABP News). College is situated in Devbhumi (land of the lords) Himachal Pradesh. The greenish Campus is surrounded by beautiful gifts of nature i.e Hills. The infrastructure of college is really awesome. Internet speed is not so good but still it is sufficient (max 5mbps). Talking about laboratories, all are an advanced, modern and equipped with all necessary apparatus. Faculty of college are just average. Everybody placed but a package is just average (6-8 LPA ).
