Can I get admission in nit hamirpur or nit jalandhar (in computer science or mechanical branch ) with 94.4 percentile in general category with Punjab as home state
Hope you are doing great!!!
Your All India rank would be 48664 approximately using the formula 100+94.4*869010/100 where 94.4 is your percentile and 869010 is the number of candidates who appeared for january session. As per the previous year scenario ,you can get in mechanical branch in NIT Hamirpur under home state quota. You cannot get seat in NIT Jalandhar in computer science and mechanical branches with this rank. For checking the probabilities of colleges or NIT's , you can use our college predictor. The link is the provided below:
sir i want to know that after clear exam can we apply in govt colleges like NIT hamirpur and other reputed engineering colleges.
To get admission in NIT, Hamirpur a candidate must appear in JEE main and qualify in it.Candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized board or university.Candidates belonging to general category must have passed with 75% marks and SC/ST candidates must have passed with at least 65% marks. And to get admission in any other college you need to appear in their respective entrance exam amd qualify in it.
So, yes if you clear the entrance exam you can get admission provided you need to score the minimum cut off rank of that particular college.
