Fee structure for IGIMS Patna for MBBS is as followed for general/BC/EBC category:

• Admission fees (one time) is Rs 10,000 ( Rs 5000 for SC/ST)
• Registration fees (one time) is Rs 10,000 ( Rs 5000 for SC/ST)
• Tuition fee is Rs 50,000 per annum
• Caution fees ( one time but refundable) is Rs 10,000
• Miscellaneous (one time but non-refundable) is Rs 10,000
• Hostel fee (mess included) is 20,000 per annum
• Approx. Rs 90,000 per year (Rs 80,000 for SC/ST candidates)
• Examination fee- Rs 4,000 for each University final exam and Rs 1000 per subject for supplementary exam.

Seat can booked by depositing 10% of the entire admission fees which is Rs 9,000

No, It's not compulsory to stay in hostel.

And the fees according to other universities is very less as compared .In comparison to studies and fun ,there is not much difference ,the institution is focused on academics and at the same time students also enjoy there. It is one of the good reputed college in East Bihar.
