It depends on the companies which have come for recruiting. For example Mercedes benz will pay upto 6 lakhs p.a whereas other companies start from 1.5/annum. You can also apply for off campus interviews where the package may be higher or lower. As in NIT Rourkela the highest package was around 12 lakhs and the lowest being 3 lakhs.
