Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University offers M.Tech and B.Tech courses in engineering. Since you haven't mentioned which you are pursuing, I will give an overview with B.Tech degree in mind. The admissions are through AP EAMCET and the cutoffs as of last year were 38251 in the general category.

The placement opportunities depend solely on the students' performance throughout their entire course. IBM, TCS, Cognizant, Vedha, Matlab, Wipro, CTS and other companies visit the campus for placements each year. Overall, the placements are pretty great and about 80% of the students get place every year. On an average, the packages offered are in the range of 3-4LPA by companies such as Wipro and the highest was by Amazon Web Services.
