The admission process of college of pune takes place on the basis of valid mhcet/jee main  scores .Mhcet  is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra for admissions to 1 ^st year BTech programmes .

College of Engineering Pune is an autonomous college. It takes admission through centralised process. The admission to btech are taken on the basis of entrance test mh-cet and JEE main.  At the time of tie preference is given to jee main over cet. On the basis of marks obtained in entrance test candidates are called for counselling.
