All the IIT aspirants have to sit for JEE Mains and afterward, JEE Advanced. Only the top 24000 scores in JEE Mains will become eligible to sit for JEE Advanced.

The candidate must have secured at least 75% marks or be in top 20 percentile in 12th class examination conducted by respective boards. For SC/ST Students, there shall be in relaxation of 5% in this criterion.

One will need a rank in JEE Advanced to get admission in an IIT

Under 1100 in ST rank list, if you belong to ST category.

Under 2200 in SC rank list, if you belong to SC category.

Under 3800 in 0BC rank list, if you belong to OBC - NCL category.

Under 10,000 in (Common rank list) to get admitted in an IIT, if you are in general category.
