Hi Sachita,

If you're wondering which are the DU CUET subject combinations , click on this link. For BA Political Science admission at Delhi University, Students must select one subject from List A and three subjects from List B, or two subjects from List A and two subjects from List B. Check the CUET Subject list here.

Hello Aspirant,

You do not need to come from a predefined stream like arts, science, or commerce to get admission into B.A. Political Science at Delhi University (DU) using the CUET exam. You can be from a science stream.

Subject Requirement:

The subject requirements for B.A. (Hons.) Political Science at most DU colleges are:

  1. General Test
  2. English Language Test
  3. Any Two Subjects (includes Political Science, History, Sociology, Psychology etc. -- even if you are from a science stream, you can still include science subjects!)

Always check the eligibility for each college on the DU CSAS portal or the official DU prospectus because some colleges may have preferences.

Dear Candidate,

You must appear in CUET in the following subject combination: Any one Language from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2 Merit will be based on the CUET scores obtained from the above-mentioned combination of subjects.

To pursue a BA in Political Science,  you do not generally need to be a student from humanities background only. Even though you are a science student,  you are still eligible for the course but you need to follow the eligibility criterion-

Candidates must appear in CUET in the following subject combination: Any one Language from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2. Merit will be based on the CUET scores obtained from the above-mentioned combination of subjects.

Hope it helps.

To get into B.A. (Hons.) Political Science at Delhi University through the CUET exam, you need to take one language subject from Section I and three domain subjects from Section II. At least two of these domain subjects should be from the core list, which includes subjects like Political Science, History, Economics, Sociology, and Geography. The third subject can be from either the core list or the secondary list.

As a science student, you're still eligible to apply. If you studied any subject in Class 12 that overlaps with the domain subjects in CUET, like Economics or even Mathematics, you can choose those. Even if you haven't studied Political Science or History, you can still appear for them in CUET. Just make sure you feel prepared to take those tests.
