For general candidate: 99+ percentile will fetch you good branches like cs/it/ece/ee in tier-1 colleges. 98+ will get you a tier-1 college with average/lower branches.

For obc candidate: 98.5+ percentile will fetch you good branches like cs/it/ece/ee in tier-1 colleges. 97.5+ will get you a tier-1 college with average/lower branches.

For sc/st candidate: 95-96+ percentile will fetch you good branches like cs/it/ece/ee in tier-1 colleges. 89+ will get you a tier-1 college with average/lower branches.

If you get these percentiles according to your category you will surely get a amazing college. WORK HARD.

Try for tier-1 colleges like NITs/IIITs/NSIT/DTU etc

To get into any of the IITS you need to score more than 96 percentile. In order to secure a good branch in the IIITs.

For getting a score of 96 percentile your marks should be more than 170.
