For you to pursue Ph.D, you should have a Master's degree first. Because BHMS is a Bachelor's degree. To study Ph.D in Psychiatry, you either should have a Masters in Psychology or M.Phil. In specific to Ph.D in Psychiatry, the desired eligibiloty criteria is: BE/ B.Tech/ MBBS/MD/ ME/ M.Tech/Masters Degree in Life Sciences. For Ph.D in Psychology, you should hold either a Master's degree or a M.Phil in relevant degree.
