To secure a seat in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) through JEE Main , the required rank varies based on the college and category. Here's a general guide for some of the top colleges:
General Category : Typically, a rank under 10,000 is needed to secure CSE in top IITs like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur.
Other IITs : A rank between 10,000 and 20,000 may secure CSE in IITs like IIT Roorkee, IIT BHU.
General Category : Typically, a rank under 5,000 is needed for top NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal.
Other NITs : A rank under 10,000 to 15,000 can secure CSE in other NITs.
General Category : A rank under 20,000 can often get you CSE in top IIITs like IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Delhi.
General Category : A rank under 50,000 to 70,000 may secure CSE in GFTIs and some private colleges that accept JEE Main scores.
