The merit rank of the candidates is calculated on the basis of percentile index, which is examined by the formula, [(n+1-p/n] x S x 100.

In the above-mentioned formula, the abbreviations stand for:

• n = number of candidates appeared for the exam in a particular subject
• p = position as per the CUSAT CAT score
• S = practical score of the candidate

The actual cut off wasnt published however this might be helpful!
