All the IT companies mostly offers an average package of 3-4 lpa and the placement in NIT Srinagar is very good almost all the students gets placed from IT department.

The highest package received by a student from IT branch was 13 Lpa last year Also in previous years students got good packages.But the companies which provide such high packages are international companies. US companies offers very high packages.

The package depends on the ability of the student.The more skill they have the better package they get.

Placement record of IT stream is not Soo good.You can expect IT company like TCS,INFOSYS,INFOGRAIN etc whose average package is around 4-5 lpa.Some big company might come,but these company recruit only few students.You can get higher package..Some big company might come in future..
