Hey,

Greetings. Hope you're doing well. AIR is all India rank. There is only two category of rank, one is general and other is for reseverd categories including Obc. A number of seats are reserved in each state for special categories and students from reseverd category get a rank according to it. AIR includes your general rank all over and it is not as same as your category rank.
