Dear Spandan, IIEST Shibpur was ranked 19th among Engineering Colleges in India by NIRF for 2019 and 36 overall. The ranking has been consistent since 2017 when it was ranked 19th by The Week. So depending on the ratings, it can be concluded that this is one of the best Colleges in India and has been recognised as an Institute of National Importance under MHRD by the Government of India along with the IITs and NITs.
