With a KCET rank of around 2,00,000, getting admission into top-tier government engineering colleges is unlikely. However, you can still secure seats in private or newly established engineering colleges, especially in core branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Some private colleges with higher intake and lower cutoffs may include institutions in rural areas or lesser-known districts. Participating in all rounds of counselling, including extended and casual vacancy rounds, increases your chances. Keep options flexible regarding branch and location. Consider diploma-to-degree options or management quota if you're set on specific colleges or branches with higher competition.
