If you look at the placement statistics then NIT Surat has an upper hand, however, I would suggest ECE at IIIT Allahabad, as the IIITs are focused on IT and Computer science. And the combination of the knowledge of IT and ECE will be a very good thing for your career in the long run. Moreover, you will find a good coding culture in the IIIT A which would be very helpful in getting internships at some big companies.

Hello Ruchitha Vanam , I suggest you to selecting IIIT Allahabad ECE above the NIT surat. Because IIIT Allahabad has excellent Research Facilities, Infrastructure and Academic Outlook. When placements are discussed with average package lying between 15-18 LPA for ECE. Companies like Microsoft, Qualcomm, Google, Amazon, Reliance Jio and Intel are top recruiters at IIIT A ECE. Overall it is one of the institutes which is steadily rising up and matching levels and legacy of top IITs and NITs in fields of Information Technology.
