Eligibility criteria of ssc cgl is passed graduation in any field from ar ecognized university with no minimum aggregate, there are few posts which have different criteria such as maths at 10+2 level or statistics as one of the graduation subject, MBA isn't going to help much in government jobs unless it's about banking posts or let's say you can appear for UGC NET and become assistant professor, people pursue MBA for career advancement more in private sectors, as comparatively it has great scope for management professionals, on the other hand SSC CGL is a national level again, and in recent times it has gained great prominence among various aspirants such as if we see the toppers of the past few years, they come from engineering background from top premier institutions, hence government services too matter to a lot of people, in your case it's your personal choice, to appear for basically government exams candidates just need to have graduation degree, and the rest of the part lies with the candidates how to plan, work diligently, go through the preparation process with focus and dedication, in case you're most interested in having a job in government sector, then you can appear after graduation only, there is no need to pursue MBA, largely it depends on your areas of interest, and in which field you want to work in the future.
