which is better srm chennai main campus or PES bangalore?

Hello student both are good colleges for engineering but SRM Chennai is more preferable among students than PES Bangalore also SRM Chennai has secured 41st rank in NIRF for while PES Bangalore has secured 94th rank. So SRM Chennai should be your first Choice if you're eligible for admission.

Eligibility - Candidates must passed or appearing class 12 in Physics chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 50 percent marks from a recognized board.

This year admission in SRM is on the basis of marks obtained in class 12 not through marks obtained in SRMJEE entrance examination.
