Coming to your question both the colleges have their own pros and cons. Both colleges listed as one of the best colleges for engineering in the country

However, SRM has more reputation in the industry then the other

SRM has many phd holders as teaching staff. In the area of placement also SRM has a good record of placement. Campus life in SRM is also really student friendly and they can enjoy their student life while studying. But in case of infrastructure, Amrita has better infrastructure than SRM.

Yet again it's totally your choice that what is best for you and what you are looking for in a college.

Well since both the colleges have decent infrastructure , good reputation and onpoint curriculum both are good in their own ways , in chooosing between the two you should consider factors such as location,ease to travel from hometown , plans to settle down etc.

Also if we look at the statistics srm is in top 30's , very early it has associated a brand value for itself,multilingual , multicultural , its campus especially ktr is extremely big and lush, also though both have an average package fallout range between 4-5 lacs, srm's cse department has more no of product based companies visiting the campus(highest package in srm can go upto, went upto 16lacs)
