Concerning only the branch, few faculty members are really good.

Placements are good compared to most other branches. Getting into a core company is slightly difficult. Past two years, people placed in core are less but you would most probably get placed well. 

There are many opportunities in college which can help expand your knowledge and being in Coimbatore in a great advantage. If your really interested in something you'll have to grab the opportunity.
