To be brief the counselling is done to allot the seats according to the rank secured in the respective exams .based on the rank if you wanted to apply which ever the institute you want to join every one who has written the exam will not be beneficial and if a proper counselling is done that is done according to the rank of the college where it stands in the particular state and the persons with the top ranks are alloted accordingly so ghe counselling process is must so that everyone  benefits
