It was established under the leadership of Dean  Dr Mrunal Phatak . Dr Rasika Gadkari is working AZ assistant Dean

AIIMS Nagpur is one of the four aiims announced during budget speech 2014 - 15 under Pradhan Mantri Swasthy Suraksha Yojna . The honourable prime minister Mr Narendra Modi anc chief minister Mr Devendra Fadnavis laid the foundation stone of the Institute.

Aiims Nagpur offers full time degree programs in mbbs and  various medical courses.
