There may be a significant addition of 10,000 new postgraduate medical seats from the new academic session this year that will help improve availability of specialists across the country as well as facilitate the district residency programme, which entails at least three months of rural posting.

As per the news, yes there should be an increase in pg medical seats from march 2020.
