Hi

IIFT dates that were earlier clashing with CAT 2017 was rescheduled to December 3, 2017. Now, IIFT 2017 will be held on Dec 3 and not Nov 26.

But may be as 20% of the aspirants of cat gives iift exam.

In a first, IIFT and CAT dates are clashing. Careers360 has approached both IIM Lucknow (CAT conducting body) as well as IIFT to know their views on it. We are yet to hear from them. Since IIFT has lesser takers, chances are there that they might prepone the date of test. However, we can't say anything yet unless the officials announce anything. In case both exams are conducted on November 26, which one would you appear for?

The answer is but obvious cat.But in an overall scenario this would totally affect the no of test takers of iift as 90% of students who give iift would alwayd give cat.And in a long run they would definitely choose cat amongst the two.

You are right. As of now, the onus of changing the exam date is more on IIFT than CAT as approximately 40,000 candidates appear for IIFT vis a vis 2lakh in CAT. Let's hope for the best.
