B.Tech M.Tech Admission Process

Most of the colleges conduct entrance examinations for students to get into B.Tech M.Tech. After clearing the entrance exams, students need to appear for a personal interview. B.Tech M.Tech Entrance Examination

Most colleges/universities use a qualifying institute level entrance exam in addition to 10+2 scores for admission to the B.Tech M.Tech course. JEE Main – Joint Entrance Examination Main is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to admit qualified candidates to various IITs, NITs, and other Centrally funded institutes in India. In a duration of three hours, candidates need to answer a total of 90 MCQ-based questions in three sections including physics, chemistry, and maths. Moreover, most private colleges/universities also consider JEE scores to admit students to the B.Tech M.Tech course.

UPSEE – Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam is a state-level entrance exam conducted to admit qualified candidates to various colleges affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) in Lucknow. For the B.Tech M.Tech course, candidates need to sit for paper one or paper two of the exam based on their 10+2 subjects. There are a total of 150 objective questions on physics, chemistry and maths. Moreover, UPSEE is an OMR-based test which is conducted offline.

MHT CET – Maharashtra Common Entrance Test exam is a state-level conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell in Mumbai for admission to various government, government-funded, and private colleges in the state of Maharashtra. The exam is computer-based while the question paper will be divided into two sections namely maths and physics-chemistry. A total of 150 questions are asked in the exam with 20 per cent from the 11th class syllabus and 80 per cent from the 12th class syllabus of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

TS EAMCET – Telangana Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Entrance Test is a state-level exam conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad on behalf of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE). The exam is used to admit the eligible candidates to engineering, medical, and agriculture courses offered by the government and private colleges/universities in the state of Telangana. A total of 160 MCQ-based questions are asked in the exam with 80 questions from mathematics and 40-40 questions from physics and chemistry. The total exam duration is 3 hours.

B.Tech. M.Tech. Cut Off

Cut off is the minimum eligibility criteria set by institutes and universities based on their score in the previously passing examination or entrance examination. A minimum cut-off limit is declared every year by colleges to select eligible students to provide admissions. Those who acquire equal or higher rank than the minimum cut off limit are eligible for enrollment.
