Hello Lokesh,

Thanks for connecting with Careers 360.

NIT is considered as one of the top institute offering engineering courses so it's cut off score is also very high and in order to secure this college you have to be consistent in your preparations.

Following link will guide you regarding how to prepare for JEE and which books to prefer,

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/how-prepare-for-jee-main

I will suggest you to assign 2 days of week for every subject and solve mock tests on the weekend for the topics that you have prepared in that week which will help you to understand which topic needs more preparations. Also don't keep anything for optional.

All the Best.

sir my brother is preparing for cat examination in his third year of b.tech . he want to know how should he prepare

Sreyashi Das 25th Jan, 2019

Hello. CAT is India's one of the toughest exams and early preparation oviously helps. Your brother can enroll for any coaching institutes available like TIME, Made Easy etc. But if he doesn't want to take a classroom course then he can also opt for online courses e.g iQuanta etc.

The following are the basic things that he needs to keep in mind while preparing for CAT.

  • Keep up with the updated syllabus and exam pattern of the CAT exam and studying accordingly.
  • Downloading or buying books containing previous years question papers and their solutions. That way he can get a brief idea of the important topics asked in the exam.
  • Referring good books is also important to get good grip on topics. Many good CAT preparation books are available in the market like How to prepare for Quantitative aptitude for CAT by Arun Sharma, Pearson Guide to Quantitative Aptitude for CAT by Nishit Sinha, etc. Also he needs to read newspapers and magazines daily to keep up with the vocabulary and current affairs.
  • Lastly whether he is enrolled in some coaching institute or not he must take mock tests to analyse his preparation level. There are many mock tests over the internet for CAT. The frequency of mock test per week should increase with the exam time coming up.

These were just some basic tips. For more detailed information check the below link.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

How should I prepare to get above 90% percentile in VITEEE, AEEE, MANIPAL ENTRANCE and CBSE 12TH BOARD

ruchika.chauhan Expert 30th Jan, 2019

Hello

You should prepare a time table to manage your studies and devote time to your Board exam as well as entrance exams.
I hope your basic concepts might be clear and as the exams are near, you should focus on revision.
Revise every thing which you have studied. You should practice previous year papers and mock tests, it will help you to know about the types of questions asked in the exam, difficulty level of the exam, and will help you in time management as well.

Work hard and stay healthy. With dedicated efforts and positive approach, you can definitely score well in Board exam and can also crack entrance exams.

I dont know how to make a time table for the preparation of clat please sir/maam help me for this problem.

Alok Mishra 25th Jan, 2019

Hi,

Only those can help you with this who are close to you, are familiar with your daily schedule and who know which section you need to work upon more than other. For the time being gather information about the exam syllabus, paper pattern and on the basis of that try to make outline of timetable and start preparing according to it. Once you have started preparing you might want to do some changes in your planned timetable, do that if necessary. You can also take help of the article "CLAT Study Time table 2019" which has been written with the purpose of helping out students like you. I hope it helps!

Sir, am a 11th student and i want to crack the NEET exam of 2020 and am too confused about the book that i shld use for preapring NEET ?

Mayank Kukreti 24th Jan, 2019
Hii Suresh
To crack any entrance exam, you need to have a proper schedule to follow so here are some points you should keep in mind while studying-
1) divide your day into 4 halfs and each half should be of 3 hours atleast, first half should be for physics,2nd for biology,3rd half should  be for chemistry and 4th half should be for solving objectives.
2) always study physics in the morning as you will be fresh in the morning so it will be easy for you to concentrate on it.As you know that every medical aspirant find it difficult so make sure you make it a plus point for you.
3) your main focus should remain on NCERT textbook as most of the questions are asked from it so make sure you go through your NCERT textbooks thoroughly as it will help you to build your basics strong
4) opt any one reference book for each subject for solving objectives like for physics you can opt universal publication,dc Pandey,Allen module, for biology you can opt trueman of biology,MTG,Allen module, Pradeep publication, for chemistry you can opt Dinesh objective,op Tandon,Allen module,ABC publication.Don't try to opt too many reference book as it will only confuse you so make sure you solve one reference book for each subject multiple times
5) solve previous year question papers because sometimes questions are repeated as it is and it will also give you the idea that how the questions are being framed from each subject
6) join any test series so that you get familiar with the pattern and can Manage your time as time management is the most important thing because if you can't manage your time properly then there is no use of studying
7) last and the most important thing not to get distracted from your goal as this your very crucial time so if you feel that your getting distracted then try to watch some motivational videos or meditate as so will bring down your stress level.
I hope this information helps you.
Thank you

How many approximate marks should I have to get in GAT and CAT so that I can crack the exam?

Shravan Hari 24th Jan, 2019

Hi Vaidehi, as you know it is not the score but the rank which is important here. As the past trends show that, a cummulative score of (CAT+GAT+situational test) about 80-85 yield a rank of less than top 100. Although there are various other factors like caste also. So work hard and try to obtain as much marks as possible.

Can I solve viteee exam paper (for better marks) ? where as I am prepare myself for MHT CET exam. Please suggest.

ruchika.chauhan Expert 9th Mar, 2019

Hello Mayur

If you wish to appear for both the exams MHT CET and VITEEE for admission to B.Tech courses then you can. You will have good choices. If you get a good college through MHT CET exam then you can go for it and in case, if you are unable to get your desired branch/college in Maharashtra colleges, you will have another option of VITEEE also. VIT University is also considered to be one of the best Universities.

Now, about the preparation, you should solve sample papers and give mock tests. Speed and Accuracy both are the key factors to achieve a good rank in the exams.

To prepare for the exam, you can enroll for the MHT CET Knockout to prepare for the exam more effectively and smartly using the smart study material (which includes chapter wise, concepts wise, most asked and most difficult questions), Advanced Test Series based on MHT CET Pattern (which includes unlimited chapter wise test, subject wise test and full mock test), adaptive time table, performance analysis (which includes Prepmeter, Strength Sheet, Weakness Sheet, Skills Graph) and Rank Predictor tool.
Go through the link below to check the details-

For VITEEE- http://bit.ly/2Uyp81K

Hope this helps!
