hello Ashutosh ,

I completely understand your point . But one must keep in mind that the exam acts as a bridge towards the dream of doing MBA from top colleges .Hence , we need to be self motivated for the same . No one can keep us going but ourselves .

Hope you understand.

How to crack UCEED without any coaching?

Bhanu Pratap 3rd Aug, 2018

Hello Devalakhi,
If you plan to crack the UCEED examination, without any coaching, the first thing you need to know is the exam pattern, what type of questions come in each section and what is the marks distribution. Coming to the UCEED examination, it tests the candidate on the following parameters:
Visual and Spatial Ability, Observation and Design Sensitivity, Environmental and Social Awareness, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, Language and Creativity, Design Thinking and Problem Solving.  So the questions will be based on these parameters. What I suggest is that you go through the previous year’s question papers and try an understand the type of questions which come. Master a few topics and try and solve as many questions as you can. Try and form your own perspective on a few popular design concepts. You also need to be updated on current affairs and various environmental and social issues. Solve as many analytical and logical reasoning questions as you can. Start with the easy ones, and gradually move onto the difficult ones.

In order to understand in detail the exam pattern of UCEED examination, you can click on the following link

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/uceed-exam-pattern

P.S. I would advise that only if you are confident enough and think you can prepare a timetable and the material on your own and stick to it, only then you should go opt for self-preparation, otherwise you should go for coaching. If you go for self-preparation, you will have to make your own timetable, and even prepare the material yourself. A coaching class will provide you will all the necessary material and you will save a lot of time.

I hope this was helpful and all the best!

I am pursuing architecture now. How do i prepare for part B of the CEED exam?

Siimran Pal 1st Aug, 2018

CEED Exam Pattern 2018 - Part B:

  • Part B contains questions that evaluated the candidates on the basis of their design, drawing and writing skills.

  • The questions appear on the computer screen, but the answers have to be given on the physical sheet given by the examiner. The answer sheets will be checked manually.

  • There are 8 questions in Part B. Out of these questions 1-5 are of 50 marks each and the candidates have the option to attempt any one of these questions .
Now that you know the syllabus, I will suggest a few books for you to study from:
By the time you write the exam, you should be able to draw fruits, vegetables and everyday objects from your mind as far as possible in 3D perspective.

How to prepare for the gate exam while studying in btech 2nd year... Which book and which method does I prefer to crack gate exam

manisha.gupta 1st Aug, 2018

To start preparation from the second year Graduation will help you focus on the basic concepts & In first two years of engineering you are new to subjects and you need time to cope up with the concepts. Coming to third year you will be familiar with the engineering concepts and it will be easy for you to understand new concepts.

Here are some preparation tips for GATE preparation you can prefer.

Understand syllabus properly: You must be aware about the GATE syllabus, released by the organizing IIT. You must go through the section-wise and topic-wise syllabus of your chosen branch in order to know what all you have to study and what to avoid.

Solve previous year papers: Solving previous years papers is of utmost importance if you want to excel in the exam.

Weightage of Topics: it is advisable and important to study the complete GATE Syllabus, however, you can do a small exercise to gauge which sections, topics are much more important in terms of weightage given in GATE.

Resources other than books: It is good to look up topper and expert tips in this regard as they do mention the books or material they have referred to. Many GATE toppers run their own Facebook pages or blogs where they dispense advice and tips to wannabe GATE aspirants.

Remember the following points:

Divide the Topics broadly into Strong, Weak and to be read properly.

Next schedule your preparation such that you revise the easy ones along with the tough ones and the “never read before” ones. This will ensure you have a clear view of what is to be studied and how you are going to do it.

While many advise to check the weightage and study accordingly, it is really not the correct way to go.

Check the weightage by all means and understand the important topics but don’t neglect to study.

Make Short Notes while you study as this is will be helpful during revision.

Write down Formulae that you find difficult to remember so that they are handy for revision.

Keep the solved problems separately indexed so that you can refresh and revise later when required.

Analyse your preparation at every step.

You can go through with the given below link to check the preparation books for GATE.
