Crack Exam
Akul there is as such no disadvantage for taking a year drop for CAT preparation. Only thing is that you might be questioned what you actually did in this one year during the interview and if you say only CAT preparation then it might create a very wrong impression right from the starting of the interview because 99% of the students coming into any IIM have done the preparation either in the final year of their graduation or while working in any company.
But as you have mentioned in the below comment that doing another course can affect your performance on CAT exam so no way I am going to recommend you to do any other course because to get a call from top 3 IIMs like IIM A, B and C you need to score atleast above 99.7 percentile, to get a call from other old IIMs like IIM L, K, I and S you need to get atleast above 98.5 percentile and atleast above 95 percentile to get calls from new and ultra new IIMs.
And what I am talking about is getting a call for the second round of WAT and interview. Without performing in the second round you can never expect an admission in any of the IIMs. Plus even in the aggregate score of the final merit list along with the interview marks the CAT marks have the highest weightage. So, spoiling your CAT performance is not at all recommended option.
You can do one thing if possible you can work for minimal time in any NGO or social service and get a certificate for a year work then you can justify your answer that with CAT preparation you were doing social service or if you can come up with some entrepreneurial idea so you can say you were working on it but you were not successful. These both the things will not even save you in that question but will get you extra brownie points an can create a very good impression in interview right from starting. Rest of the interview will depend on your answers to other questions. Although if you say any of the two things mentioned above you will need to prepare thoroughly very deep about both the things because 99% interviewee is going on those two topics.
Feel free to ask if you have any more queries. All the best!!

Hello,
The thing is not the no' of hours you have to study to crack a particular exam. The main thing is you have to study smartly and effectively instead of studying hours and hours.

It totally depends on your interest & capability. If your target is only to get a decent college for Medical programme & you believe on your self that you can do better next time to scre well in the exam then you can go for it as with this score the chances are there only for the Deemed & private colleges.
If you want to go for Biotech & have the option of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida then as per the analyzing report of Careers360 Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida has AAAA rating which means very good. The rating is based on the reserch of the college based on the placement, Faculty & Industry exposure etc. You can also check the genuine reviews of the college with the given below link.

Take positive pressure .negative pressure will rather take down your score.
Hyy kunwar,
For written exam you can take help of Arihant Publictaion Book for NDA written exams . I think its more than sufficient. Moreover you basic NCERT mathematics should be very strong inorder to clear the subect cut-off of the mathematics exam.
As far as the physical is concerned I don’t think there is any need to focus on that as long as you are in a good health. Your focus should be more on the SSB and start preparing for it as soon as the NDA written is done . Many aspirants wait for the call letter and then start with preparation when the time is also less. So if you are confident enough about cracking the written exam then please don’t waste time on waiting till the written result or call letter. For the preparation of SSB you can visit various websites like SSBCRACK which will give you a complete insight of the whole procedure.
I hope this helps
Harry in your query mentioned all about your current academic records and what is your ambition to do after taking a drop but you haven't asked any question. Your query is incomplete, please comment below to ask what you actually want to know?
With your statement whatever I have understood that you have got a fantastic score in 12th board and you are a very smart student and because of not a good preparation you were not able to perform in both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced exam according to your calibre. So, you have taken a very good decision to drop for a one more year, now you don't have any burden for your school studies so you can definitely concentrate only on JEE preparations and get a very good score.
No it is not going to be enough to be honest. The syllabus for IES is more compared to Gate and not to forget there is a subjective round of exam in IES too.
