any chances of lowering cut off for NEET SS 2019 second counseling?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Aug, 2019
You havent mentioned which State Counselling are you enquiring about. Generally, its not the cutoffs that are decreased. Lets say for Round 1, the first 100 people were invited for 100 seats and their score is between 600-500 but only 50 seats were filled up. Here the cut off is 500. Then Round 2 will be held and candidated from 101-200 will be called. Now lets say the marks range is 500-400, the cut off will be considered as 400. But again if out of 50, only 30 seats have been filled up, the next in the list will be called. So as the rank in the merit list goes higher, the marks scored becomes lesser. And the last rank or score that secured the seat is considered the cut off.

I got 151 in neet 2019 any chance in rajasthan? Even in private

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Aug, 2019
Dear Kriti, you havent mentioned your Category. Neverthless, Rajasthan is one of the States with highest cut offs. In 2018, the cut off for GMC in Rajasthan was around 525-528. Though it is lesser for Private Medical Colleges, it doesnt go as low as 151. Even Management Quota seats are filled up through State Counselling. If you are determined to join MBBS this year only, you may have to wait until Stray vacamcy round where the seats are filled at college level. But the fees will be too high.

What is AIR cutoff 2019 Neet ?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Aug, 2019
Dear Shaquib, you havent mentioned your Category. Neverthless, In 2019, the cut offs went higher by 15 marks from 2018. It is yet to be known what might be the cut offs for 2020. Now mere securing cut offs cannot get a Medical Seat.  Now talking about Categories, its just not your score but also your Category that plays a role in your name showing up on the merit list. As of now the reservations that are in place are:
OBC: 27%
EWS: 10%
SC: 15%
ST: 7.5%
The remaining reservations like PWD, Sports, Women Category, Ex Servicemen and Defense, Victims of terrorism, etc are available at Horizontal level at the respective State Counsellings. Now we all also have 2 levels of Counselling. Under All India Quota, All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges  are filled. So each college has a different cut off for All India Counselling and State Counselling for different Categories. If you have anh particular college in mind, please do let us know and we shall help with those details.

Now NEET 2020 dates have been released by NTA and they have been mentioned here for you:

Registration Dates: 2nd to 31st December, 2019
Downloading of Admit Cards: 27th March, 2020
Date of Examination: 3rd May, 2020

Mam in neet what is meant by convener quota ..is there any free seats in that quotaa

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Aug, 2019
Dear Sandhya, Convenor Quota is nothing but Government seats in Private Medical Colleges. There are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that. The avaibility of seats depends on which State Counselling you are enquiring about. So please help us with the details. If any Government seats are left after all rounds of counselling, these will be transferred to the respective colleges and then the Colleges will conduct admission as per their rules.

Harshita 26th Aug, 2019

Hello aspirant  , you have scored well. This time NEET paper and marking scheme were unpredictable. Like rank versus marks scenario has changed completely. The paper was different as well. I would suggest you to take a drop. You are at 572 and with effort you would make it to 600+ ., Which would fetch you a seat .

Here is a good news for you..
