I am appering in JEE Main. I am very tensed my syllabus is not complete and i really dont know where I stand. Can anyone guide me?

Anonymous 27th Feb, 2017

You don't need to be get tensed. If you want to crack this exam you need to be self motivated and determined. You can first focus on the chapters which have more weight-age in the exam. You can also go through past year problems to know about the paper pattern and level of questions. Try to solve mock test papers to know your strength and weakness and to know where you stand among other competitors. You can also use below tool to know about the important topics for your preparation. You can check your preparation level and where you stand with recommendations and improvement plan. Is it necessary to pass in all subjects in jee mains to get into dtu???

Sachin Expert 22nd Mar, 2017

No. Overall marks will be count to prepare merit list. there is no subject wise cut off for DTU or JEE Main.

Qualifying marks criteria for B. E./B. Tech at DTU :

-Candidates need to have secured at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at Senior School Certificate Examination Level/XII.
-They also need to have passed English as a subject (Core or Elective) at Senior School Certificate Examination Level

You did not mention your category so i am assuming General category.

To get Mechanical branch under Delhi home state quota and general category, your rank should be under 15000 in JEE Main and marks should be between 170-80 marks.

You can check category and branch wise cut off of DTU, Delhi by below link:

DTU Cut Off

Good Luck.

Quickest way to revise all the IITJEE syllabus in 2 months?

Anonymous 21st Dec, 2016
Do Not Learn Anything New Your revision time should be used to literally redo previous work done, regarding subject topics and be thorough with what you've already learnt. Learning something new may also weaken your confidence at this point. Go through Revision Notes and Flashcards This is the ideal time to go through your previously prepared notes. This process helps to strengthen concepts in your memory and therefore applying them becomes easier. If you have not prepared flashcards, do not waste time in preparing them now. Although flashcards would've made it easier for recollection, your notes will also suffice. Practice Practice application based questions from previous papers as much as possible. You can switch between the following types of topics Topics you are strong at- Helps to gain momentum Important Topics- Refer previous year papers Hard Topics Other Topics Mock Tests Do not forget to attempt sample mock tests. These tests should be attempted for know how to manage time and pressure of the actual examination. Therefore, you should set conditions as ideal to the actual situation with no distractions. Prepare a schedule/ timetable Prepare a schedule or ask a mentor to prepare one for you. Schedule all your breaks, sleep cycle and study time in this timetable and make sure you stick to it. Set goals and include it as part of your schedule. The goals you set can be daily or weekly depending on your comfort. Set appropriate time limits to practice questions and ensure that this skill helps in time management during the actual JEE exam
