Yeah! Without NET you can obviously get admission in the PhD Biotechnology course in different universities. For that you have to clear an entrance organized by that university commonly known as RET which means 'Research Entrance Test'.
If you get admitted to PhD through RET then you will not get the Fellowship amount but you will get stipend ranging between Rs. 8 to 10k. If you want to do PhD with the NET, then you will get the Fellowship of Rs. 31K.

In India, biotechnology is a well-known degree with several career options and job possibilities. Technology is one of those fields that will never stop evolving because its primary goal is to better human existence. The demand for this degree has risen over time as a result of its bright future. Drug, waste management, chemical energy, animal husbandry, and other industries are at an all-time high. Research associates, Bionomists, Clinical research employment, Biotech specialists, and other biotechnical engineering careers are available. This role is offered by top organisations such as Drager, Siemens Healthcare, Johnson and Johnson, Stryker, Philips Healthcare, and others. A biotechnical engineer may expect to make between 5 and 7 LPA each year on average. The minimum salary would be 2 to 3 LPA.
Biotechnology is a broad subject, hence there are two to three more specialisations available. Specializations can also be thought of as degrees of knowledge in a course. UG and PG courses are the two primary specialities. Both BSc and BTech biotechnology are bachelor's degrees or undergraduate specialisations in biotechnology. The BSc Biotechnology course is a three-year graduate course split into six semesters, whereas the BTech Biotechnology programme is a four-year graduate course divided into eight semesters. JEE is the most common admission test for BTech Biotechnology. There may be state-level and institution-level tests, but admittance to B.SC Biotechnology courses are most often based on merit. Some colleges, on the other hand, may require their own institution-based entry exam.
For admission in UG Course, the eligibility requirements are:-
In their 10+2, the student must choose a science stream, which includes topics like physics, chemistry, and biology.
In their 10+2 examination, the student should have a score of at least 50% or above.
After that, the student must take the entrance exam required by the student's desired college. Some institutions may also admit students based on their performance in higher education (10+2).
For admission in PG course, the eligibility requirements are:-
The student should get a bachelor's degree in either Biotechnology or other medical science courses.
For admittance to a college or even to take a specific entrance exam, students must achieve a grade point average of at least 50% in their undergraduate course.
After that, the student should take the admission exam that the student's selected college requires. Some colleges may admit students based on their performance in a Biotechnology UG programme.

Dear applicant as you know B.Tech Dairy Science and Technology is a pretty good course, but if you follow the eligibility criteria of M.Sc Biotechnology even in countries like Italy, you should possess a Bachelor's degree mostly in Biological Sciences (B.Sc ) and B.Sc Biotechnology is well accepted. But when it comes to your career path, you can do one thing, if after preparing well you can crack GATE Examination, you can do M.Tech in Biotechnological Engineering or in foreign countries also you can have M.Tech with this specialization.
Hope it helps!!
