Ganesh, you have to study Biology as an additional subject. It can be even through NIOS. Based on your Category, you should secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now there is no upper age limit for NEET either. So, if you study Biology and score the required aggregate, you will be eligible for NEET.

Hello,

Well technically it is possible but there is one condition that as per NEET eligibility criteria 2020, candidates must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually in the qualifying examination which is 10+2 or equivalent. If you had Biology or biotech in your 12th then you can appear in NEET get a good rank and you can persue MBBS further.
If you you did not had the bio or biotech in your 12 then simply you cant.

Good Luck

sir my aggregate percentage of pcb in 12th examination is 50.33 but i got 38 (practical-29 and theory 9)in physics , 63 in biology, and 50 in chemistry . am i eligible to to take admission in any medical college after cracking neet..

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 10th Dec, 2019

Dipak, with 9 marks in theory, you wouldnt have passed in the the theory exam for Physics. If you fail in theory, you have to appear for supplementary exams and clear the subject before you get admission in any medical college, Your admission will be provisional until you clear the subject with required aggregate against your Category in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

After combination of aiims and neet will the level of paper increase? is ncert enough especially for biology?

Siddhi Shenoy 9th Dec, 2019

Hi Aspirant,

As AIIMS and JIPMER have both decided to stop their entrance exams for UG this year and take admissions on the basis of NEET UG 2020 scores, the competition is expected to increase and as the percentile system is based on relative performance, so is the difficulty.

NCERT does not come close to the level of questions asked in NEET. However, you need to be well-versed with the basics which are covered in NCERT. As Biology constitutes for half the marks, it is advisable to refer NEET preparation textbooks like Truman Elementary and Objective.

My kid is doing A levels in Malaysia with Biology Chemistry & Maths only. No Physics. Is she eligible to apply for NEET 2020. It is compulsory to attempt NEET exam to get eligibility cert. to do MBBS from abroad. Is physics needed... as UK accepts Maths OR Physics for MBBS admission.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 30th Oct, 2019

Dear Sandeep, you haven't mentioned your kid's Nationality. If your kid has Indian Citizenship but is in Malaysia only to study but plans on appearing for NEET as an Indian National, then yes NEET is mandatory either to study in India or abroad. For beibg eligible for NEET, he/she should have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Biology, Chemistry and Physics as his/her core subjects. Physics is a mandatory exam for NEET. There cannot be any exception to that whether the country your kid chooses to study needs Physics or Mathematics. Physics, Chemistry and Biology are the mandatory subjects to appear for NEET. This rule applies to NRIs, OCI, and PIOs who want to study MBBS in India. But if your kid is a NRI/OCI/PIO then he/she doesn't need NEET to study in another country.
