Sir ,Maam , I have 71.16% in class 10 , 80.80 percent in class 12 and 84.50% , in graduation . Can I get admission in IIM Ahmedabad with this profile.

Student 22nd Jun, 2022

Hi there. In response to your query the answer would definitely depend on how you justify your candidature. Sure the marks of secondary, senior secondary and graduation are alloted marks while considering for the procedure of IIM's, though if your profile and resume are good and well rounded and is supplemented by a great CAT percentile you would surely increase your chances of selection.

Hope this answer helps; best wishes

Maam I filled General category during my class 10 and class 12 examination but my mom is Obc- ncl So I have filled Obc category in my neet registration. Will there be any problem during counseling process if they think why i have chosen unreserved during board examination and now obc for neet?

Subhalaxmi Biswal 4th Jun, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

An individual can apply for an OBC certificate only if the yearly earnings of the family are less than eight lakh Indian rupees per annum. If it were surplus than the provided figure, you would not be receiving the non-creamy category certificate. (Income from agriculture/farming is not included in this). You have mentioned that your mother has an obc-ncl certificate. But if your father and mother's income exceeds 8 Lakh then you are not eligible. Moreover, you need to have an obc-ncl certificate to avail reservation or else you will be considered as a general candidate only. If your mom is a single mother and her income is the only household income then you are eligible. In both cases, you need a valid obc-ncl certificate. If persons either the mother or father, is a part of the central government or is serving under Group C and Group D categories under the central government, then you are eligible to apply for the non-creamy OBC certificate. If a women’s husband is assigned under the Central Government, then every woman would be desirable to apply for the certificate provided that her parents do not earn any kind of income.

Regards.

Hello Aspirant ,

It depends on your school some schools are very strict and allow Science stream to only those students who gets very high marks in class 10 , where as some schools are lineant and allow students to choose thier stream irrespective of thier marks so you should ask your teachers or seniors about this .

Even if school doesnt allow you to choose your favourite stream you can take your gaurdian to your prinicipal and explain that you are only interested in Science stream , I am sure they will help you .

my brother is in class 10 (2021-22) giving board exams. Afterwards he wants to take science stream (PCB). He wants to become a doctor. But our parents are forcing him to take (PCM), and forcing him to do enginnering. What should he do ? or should he take pcmb?

Moumoyee Chakraborty 3rd May, 2022

Hey Applicant

It is totally up-to the wish of your candidate, if he is forcefully admitted or made to study any subject then it might affect his studies, academic performance, so it is advisable to consult him, have a discussion with him regarding the possible subject to choose. Yes his journey would be tuff enough if he is a general category student to crack medical whereas it would be somewhat easier and wider if selects PCM and continues his higher education.

Hope it helps!!!!

What will happen if I fail in one subject in class 10 2022?

pri111nah 30th Apr, 2022

Hi,

According to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) new rule, if a student fails in any one of the three elective subjects -- Science, Mathematics and Social Science), then the failed subject will be replaced by the 'Skill Subject (offered as a 6th additional subject).

According to new cbse pattern (you have to score 33/100 to pass as before) your term 1 & term 2 + practical marks will be added for your final numbers for marksheet. Then your final results will be sum of term 1 &2 and practical. So don't worry even if you fail in term 1 , you can do hardwork for term two. Because you don't have to pass each term individually. You have to pass in total of TERM-1&2 which you can easily do. And you know out 100 , 20 marks of practical , you just have to score 15 marks total in term 1&2 in theory paper to pass. But work hard you can score good , better than passing number.

Hope this helps.
