If you want to take admission in the course of BTech in Civil Engineering through the lateral entry examination then you can do it even after Diploma in Automobile Engineering. Switching of trades are allowed for lateral entry examination. Although I would advice you, if you wish to do so , then you must be very sure that you have to put in some extra efforts as the Automobile engineering is quite a different field compared to that of the Civil Engineering. SO you must be ready to work hard and if you have genuine interest in the subject then you will do great in it.

Syllabus change in an institute is an internal matter concerning the Administration of that institute. Depending on their ideology and demand of the students as well as the industry, it might happen they implement new courses into the current academic curriculum but the syllabus usually is not changed 100%.
Good Luck
Yes, after completing your Masters in Chemistry you can apply in different food industries and they will initially appoint you as a trainee and with gradual experience and knowledge you can become food inspector as well. However for the M.Sc Chemistry students the best field to work is in Quality Control Department of any Pharmaceutical Company. M.Sc Chemistry also gives you opportunity to work as food inspector.

Hello
Actually, there is not much difference between BE i.e Bachelor of Engineering and BTech i.e Bachelor of Technology
The difference just lies in their name, generally the University or Colleges which offers various courses like BSc ,Bcom etc along engineering courses , name their engineering course as BE , while college /universities which offers only in engineering courses etc name the engineering course as BTech.
One minor difference between BE and BTech is that,BE is a bit more theoretical oriented while BTech is more application based oriented.
But there's no major difference in BE and BTech , both are equally reputed and both have almost same syllabus, course etc. Actually, what matters is the engineering college from which you pursue your BE/BTech , brand value of the college, its past placement records, industry exposure provided by the college etc because your starting package and placement after completion of the course is mainly dependent on college’s name and brand, not whether it offers BE or Btech.
Thankyou
