I have done my Graduation from Calcutta University in English Literature however I scored less than 50%. Currently I have been working for a MNC for more than 2yrs now. I want to pursue the dual MBA course (German) from Christ University. Am I eligible? What r my other options of good Universities?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 22nd Jan, 2021

hi,

In most of the top tier 1 MBA college , the requirement of marks of graduation in any of the institute is candidates must secure 50% score in graduation from a recognized education board. so it makes you not eligible for many of the colleges. A pass in UG Degree with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent grade. Students pursuing the International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations. you may follow the below link to know details about eligibility criteria:

https://christuniversity.in/mba-admission-2021

however you may apply for XAT exams which does not have 50% marks criteria. after securing good score you may get admission in colleges which accept xat score like XLMI jamshedpur, courses offers by XLRI jamshedpur is as follows:

PGDM (BM)- business management

PGDM (HRM)- human resource management

PGDM (GM)- general management

I have got my seat allotted in CMP degree college, allhabad in UGAT course BA with subject combination of ( English literature, philosophy, ancient history),what books should I take for study of these subjects?

Lisa 16th Feb, 2022

in college studies hardly do the faculty stick to one book or reference material. thus it is always advisable to not follow a single book. you can check the syllabus and course plan of your course and accordingly, you can issue those textbooks from the college library and refer to them.

Hello, I am studying Inter 1st year right now. I am very fond of English language and literature . And my goal is to become an IAS officer. So I wanna do B.A in English Literature and prepare for civils. Is it good to study like this ?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 23rd Nov, 2020

UPSC is a 3 stage   selection process involving Prelims, Mains and Interview which tests your personality test. Prelims has 2 Papers namely General Studies and CSAT.

General Studies has Current Events, History of India and Indian National Movement, Indian and World Geography, Indian Polity and Governance, Economic and Social Development, Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity and Climate Change and General Science.

CSAT has Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills, Logical Reasoning and Analytical ability, Decision making and problem solving, General Mental Ability, Basic numeracy and Data Interpretation.

You will need atleast to start preparing ahead of 1- 2 years. If you are preparing at home, you need to keep yourself away from distractions and focus on the goal ahead. Gather as much as information as you can on each topic and keep yourself updated. Practise mock test papers.

Whenever you select an Optional subject or a subject in your Graduation,  you should make sure it interests you, gives you access to all the material required for preparation and also prepare you for a plan B. BA Arts is a good option. You can always work as Editor,Columnists, Translators, etc. You also will have options in MNCs and abroad. So this is a good option.
